Our lawyer’s office provides legal representation over the real estate purchase process and also after-sales services

1- Legal representation:
We offer this service from the day someone wants to reserve a property until an open ended date when the customer is settled and everything is fine. This will first consist in a presentation of the purchase process in France with a calendar, a listing of taxes to pay now and the annual taxes in the future with also an inheritance review to propose the best way of buying (joint names, universal community, SCI,...). We can setup the reservation contract whether it is off plan or re-sales, we then send to the client within 48 hours an English summary of that contract and are constantly in touch with all the people involved in the purchase. We tend to be at the centre to facilitate communications. We double the background work of the notary and we are constantly defending the best interest of the client, reminding him also of all the deadlines. At the time of signing of the Deed of Sale we send an English summary of the draft and we can setup the power of legal attorney with the client if they cannot or do not want to attend. After the signature of that deed of sale, 99% of our duty is finished, but we still offer assistance for the exchange of the property, opening of electricity and water accounts, handover of the keys (for off-plan), always assuming the property is in a place that we can get to as our office is in the Cote d'Azur.

Optional services: should the purchase need to be done through a French company (SCI), we can setup and register the company.

2- After sales services:
We can offer all types of after sales services. The most common one is help for the snag list during the handover of the keys, help for opening power and water contracts, and off course tax representation, filling tax returns every year. Depending on where the property is, there are many other smaller services that we can provide.

Off course this list is unending and we are never closed to any further demand. What is important is that the office is open from Monday to Friday but there is ALWAYS a lawyer on duty after hours and at weekends for customers who want to buy and reserve a property whilst we are closed, therefore this specific service does not stop.
We also think that communication is the key point in a property purchase and if there is a lack of communication, the first consequence is to the cancel the purchase. Therefore we are committed to respond to any email within 24 hours even if it is only to say that we are dealing with the enquiry.
